STACEY HARRIS - BODY THERAPEUTICS
Welcome!
"BEST ("Better Every Single Time.") is a phrase that sums up my approach to life - not only personally, but with regards to massage therapies and client outcomes. My aim is to help my clients feel better in body and mind after every visit - by providing them with the very best care at every session."

PLEASE NOTE: As of January 1 2021 I am now based from Muscle Mechanics in Dunedin.
I would like to thank my Christchurch client base from the bottom of my heart for your ongoing support and for celebrating this move forward with me.
If you are in Christchurch and in need of an excellent therapist, I can recommend any of my colleagues at Body Central Massage Therapy without reservation. You are very welcome to contact me if you would like my input on which therapists might be a good fit for you.
Body work started as an interest area for me and quickly grew into a full blown passion which led to the completion of my Diploma in Health Science. I quickly developed a strong interest in working with people experiencing chronic pain and health conditions including lymphoedema. My 17 years as a primary school teacher before that instilled in me a passion for ongoing learning and, alongside my study in therapeutic massage I also completed certification in Dry Needling, Manual Lymphatic Drainage and a variety of other techniques to enhance the treatments I provide.
Most recently I have become fascinated by the impact that chronic have on mental health, and vice versa. This took me back to study, and at the end of 2020 I completed my Graduate Diploma in Science (Psychology) at Canterbury Uni.
In December 2020 I moved to Dunedin to be with my partner and will commence my Masters in Psychology here with the aim of eventually being a health psychologist specialising in helping people living with chronic conditions. I will continue working as a massage therapist for the next few years at least, but will be building a more integrative approach as my training progresses.
